UAE National Youth RIB Challenge 2009
This year we will introduce a new exciting program aimed at attracting the youth of Dubai and eventually the entire Emirates out on to the water driving powerboats competitively.
The UAE National Youth RIB Challenge is an initiative that will provide the platform for boys and girls 8-16 years old to obtain internationally recognised power boating qualifications while at the same time introduce a fun competition that will test the competitors newly acquired skills and abilities to safely drive a powerboat.
After the initial training, youngsters will compete against the clock in a series of heats and qualifiers that will lead to the National Final where the winners from two groups (8-13 years and 14-16 years) will be crowned with the title UAE National Youth RIB Champion!
Training and heats will start in late February and will be done onboard an ASIS 5.5m RIB. The venue is yet to be confirmed but will take place in Dubai.
