This five-day practical course is set at an advanced level and is designed for those who have prior experience of motor cruisers to Day Skipper Level. We also recommend that candidates have completed the Coastal Skipper / Yachtmaster Offshore Shorebased course prior to taking the practical course.
During the course your instructor will coach you on subjects such as safety and emergency procedures, pilotage, mooring, boat handling, anchoring, advanced navigation and many others.
Your class size will never exceed a ratio of 5 students to one instructor which will give you plenty of time to complete all of the tasks your instructor will set for you.
Up on successfully completing the course you will be awarded the RYA Coastal Skipper Motor Cruising Certificate which will be endorsed for tidal waters.
Included in the course fees are lunch, snacks and soft drinks, fuel and moorage fees.
